Klik her for at se i fuld størrelse og alle kategorier. Den er lavet af informationisbeautiful.net.

"Today, the neighborhood [Ninth Arrondissement] a has been rechristened “South Pigalle” or, in a disheartening aping of New York, SoPi. Organic grocers, tasteful bistros and an influx of upscale American cocktail bars are quietly displacing the pharmacies, dry cleaners and scores of seedy bar à hôtesses that for decades have defined the neighborhood."
"We should be grateful to be jolted from our anesthetized routines, confronted when we can be with surroundings and neighbors that are not injection-molded to the contours of our own bobo predilections. Too much of modern urban life revolves around never feeling less than fully at ease; about having even the minutest of experiences tailored to a set of increasingly demanding and homogeneous tastes — from the properly sourced coffee grounds that make the morning’s flat white to the laboriously considered iPod soundtracks we rely on to cancel the world’s noise. The logical extension is to “curate” our urban spaces like style blogs or Pinterest boards representing a single, self-satisfied and extremely sheltered expression of middle- and upper-middle-class sensibility."

"What if there were a cure-all treatment for high blood pressure, migraines, chronic pain, arthritis, and, oh yeah, fatness? The catch: You'll be really, really hungry. Ben Marcus spends a long and profoundly satisfying week on a strict diet of absolutely nothing but H2O."
"There was some old school guys rapping, and I’m not gonna say any names. But all of a sudden you seen a man standing [on stage] in the middle of their set, with a stocking mask [on his face], right? And he’s just staring at them. And this group is just going back and forth on the mic, and then [they see] this dude standing there with this stocking mask on in their middle of their set. They’re like, “What the fuck, son? We’re doing a set over here.” Yo, the man in the stocking mask goes and just snatches the microphone from this dude and pushes him to the side. And then all these dudes with masks just come on stage. And they push everybody out. They fuckin’ take the sound man off and get in the booth, and do whatever they got to do. And then they fuckin’ start going, “WU-TANG CLAN AIN’T NUTHIN’ TO FUCK WIT’! WU-TANG CLAN AIN’T NUTHIN’ TO FUCK WIT’! WU-TANG CLAN AIN’T NUTHIN’ TO FUCK WIT’!”"
Det er 20 år siden, Wu-Tang Clan debuterede med 'Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)'. En sjov historie om, hvordan coveret kom i stand.
"If Paul and John were singing in the studio, that means I’d already done my parts and I was hanging around, which is also probably why I spent time taking a few shots,” smiles Ringo Starr."
"Ten years after from their last major record, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, we trace Big Boi and Andre 3000's path from Southern vanguards to the most universally beloved rappers in the world with a career-spanning essay followed by separate pieces on each of their six albums."

"An enormous amount of media space has been dedicated to promoting the notion that all processed food, and only processed food, is making us sickly and overweight. In this narrative, the food-industrial complex—particularly the fast-food industry—has turned all the powers of food-processing science loose on engineering its offerings to addict us to fat, sugar, and salt, causing or at least heavily contributing to the obesity crisis. The wares of these pimps and pushers, we are told, are to be universally shunned."

"Suddenly, in the late 1930s and the 1940s, the American viewing audience went from thinking of Hollywood in black and white to experiencing it in stunning, rich color. Kodachrome was the vessel that brought hyper-real, hyper-beautiful stars into movie houses, magazines, and homes."
En fin samling billeder her.
